Happy Holidays from Fort Tryon!

‘Tis the season to be jolly! Here at Fort Tryon we’re celebrating the holidays this month. For our jewish residents, we are celebrating Hanukkah, which is also known as the Celebration of Lights. Aside from this, we also have a Catholic service for our Christian residents. Then, we will be celebrating a Holiday luncheon for everyone to socialize with one another. On December 25th, we have a Christmas Concert prepared for our residents.

For the duration of the month, we have other activities going on. One of our regular activities is BINGO, which helps with hand-eye coordination. We also have Zumba going on for our residents, which was a fitness craze which became increasingly popular for all age-groups. Our residents have said that Zumba is a good way to do some cardio workout as it doesn’t feel like your typical exercise. As well as Zumba can be easily adjusted for those with any physical limitations.

We at Fort Tryon wish you and your loved ones happy holidays ahead!
