Therapy Services

Fort Tryon Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing serves as your bridge between the hospital and home

Our state-of-the-art rehabilitation program is designed to help patients recover quickly and return to optimal health and independence following a serious illness, injury or surgery. Our sub-acute care trained professionals including a medical doctor, psychiatrist, therapist, social worker and a team of nurses guides residents and their families on how to cope physically and psychologically. Patients are taken to specialty doctors when necessary. A case manager is assigned to each patient to ensure that their plan of care is being followed.

While in rehabilitation, residents will benefit from a wide range of specialized orthopedic rehabilitation and musculoskeletal services. Fort Tryon’s Physical therapists are trained to treat the entire body and the length of physical therapy needed, depends greatly on the severity of the patient’s injuries. Patients will also have care managers who will carefully coordinate their stay and discharge plans and will be kept informed of their progress throughout the entire process.

Our program includes intensive therapy provided by licensed physical, occupational and speech therapist under the supervision of a board certified physiatrist.
