What do you want to do today?  At Fort Tryon Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, you have plenty of choices!  We bring in live entertainment weekly by professional entertainers.  Celebrations abound each month as we share happy birthday wishes, holidays and other special occasions.  We use interactive, state of the art digital applications to promote mental acuity and dexterity.  Wii bowling and all the other latest games and activities are always a big hit with our residents.

Our recreation director is strongly involved to ensure that everyone is having a stimulating and fulfilling day. You will enjoy every day when you spend it at Fort Tryon Center.   We believe that quality recreational programing is an integral component of the healing process. Our goal is to provide recreational activities that invigorate both mind and body, promoting overall health and well-being. Social interaction is also encouraged during recreation time.   Because different residents have different recreational needs and abilities, our recreational staff makes sure that there is something for everyone. The wide variety of activities includes crafts, thinking games, drama, exercise, pet therapy, outdoor walks, shopping outings, day trips, off premise entertainment etc.
