The week began with high energy and movement through Swing Dancing, where residents enjoyed both watching and participating in lively performances set to upbeat music. This spirit of rhythm and celebration continued with the observance of Haiti Independence Day 🇭🇹, marked by joyful dancing and music that honored Haitian culture, history, and pride. These moments brought people together through shared movement, sound, and appreciation of diverse traditions.
Music remained at the heart of the week during Caroling and Happy Kwanzaa celebrations. A group visited to sing for the elders, filling the space with familiar melodies that sparked nostalgia and comfort. During the Kwanzaa observance, a singer performed meaningful songs that reflected unity, creativity, and togetherness, creating a calm and reflective atmosphere for everyone present.
The week closed with cheerful seasonal moments and lighthearted fun. During Christmas Gift Giving, residents received personalized mugs, each one bringing smiles and a sense of being thoughtfully remembered. Laughter followed as the Recreation Department marked National Twin Day, adding a playful and joyful touch that reminded everyone that celebration can be both meaningful and fun.
