Celebrating Connection, Milestones, and Teamwork

Life at Fort Tryon is filled with moments that celebrate connection, creativity, and heartfelt appreciation. During our Nail Polish and Sing Along session, residents enjoyed having their nails done while singing familiar songs together. The activity created a relaxed and joyful atmosphere where residents could express themselves, connect through music, and enjoy moments of self-care alongside friends and caregivers.

We also took time to honor a very special group during our Cheers to Our 95-Year-Old and Older Residents celebration. Residents were recognized with certificates and enjoyed celebratory drinks as we acknowledged their strength, life stories, and remarkable milestones. The celebration became even more meaningful as we marked a resident’s 100th birthday, complete with balloons and festive décor, bringing smiles, applause, and a shared sense of pride to everyone in attendance.

Being part of these moments highlights the importance of teamwork, service, and genuine care for others. By supporting food service, engaging warmly with residents and colleagues, and helping create a welcoming environment, I was able to contribute to experiences that bring people together. These moments reflect my commitment to professionalism, collaboration, and creating positive interactions where both residents and team members feel valued and celebrated.
