This week at Fort Tryon was filled with laughter, music, and colorful celebrations. We began with Throwback Thursday, where a resident-led guitar session brought back treasured classics and familiar melodies. The room was filled with singing, rhythm, and shared joy as everyone joined in, creating a comforting atmosphere where memories and music blended beautifully.
Our residents also enjoyed an exciting afternoon of Bingo and Lottery Winnings, where lucky winners received cozy prizes including warm blankets, mugs, and soft throws. The friendly competition and anticipation made the activity both fun and engaging, giving everyone a chance to celebrate small victories together. The celebration continued during our Tie-Dye Birthday Bash, where vibrant decorations and balloon animals set the tone for a joyful gathering. Residents wore colorful bandanas and shared smiles as they enjoyed the lively, creative atmosphere.
To wrap up the week, the center hosted The Turkey Walk, bringing plenty of laughter as staff dressed in festive turkey costumes surprised and delighted residents in the hallways. The playful moment sparked conversations, hugs, and lots of cheer. These activities highlight how Fort Tryon continues to create meaningful experiences that brighten days and strengthen community bonds.
