Sweet Treats, Games, and Good Music: A Week of Watermelon, Games, Serenades, and Karaoke at Fort Tryon

This week at Fort Tryon was filled with smiles, laughter, and moments that brought everyone together. Residents started the week with a Watermelon Eating Activity, enjoying juicy slices of fresh watermelon surrounded by colorful decorations and cheerful company. The simple joy of sharing a sweet treat made the afternoon extra special.

Next came some friendly competition during board and card games. Residents gathered around tables to play, strategize, and enjoy lighthearted conversations. The games sparked plenty of laughter and kept everyone’s minds active and spirits high.

A special highlight of the week was a visit from students of Princeton University, who serenaded residents with live music. Their performance filled the room with warmth, nostalgia, and happiness. It was a heartwarming moment that reminded everyone of the power of music to connect generations.

To wrap up the week, residents enjoyed a fun karaoke session, singing along to their favorite songs. The room was alive with energy and applause as everyone cheered each other on.

At Fort Tryon, every week is a reminder that joy can be found in simple moments—sharing food, playing games, listening to music, and making memories together.
