Fort Tryon’s Chinese New Year Luncheon

It’s not only Chinatown that’s celebrating Chinese New Year, but also here in Fort Tryon – we give a feel of the Chinese New Year to the residents. The center was designed and decorated with an oriental theme. There were Chinese Lantern decorations hanging and a face a dragon to complete the Chinese vibe.

Even the dining experience was also themed in Chinese to suit the occasion. There were chop sticks and ang pao (envelopes) and the utensils were in Red since Red is considered to be lucky when you use this while celebrating the festivity.

The food was also Chinese Cuisine. The residents had some mixed beef with vegetable sauté, Chinese stir-fried noodles and some dumpling soup. Yum!

The residents truly enjoyed the experience. Gong Xi Fa Cai!
