Fort Tryon residents gathered in reflection and prayer as church clergy led a meaningful Ash Wednesday ceremony within our community. The room was filled with a quiet sense of reverence as residents came together to mark the beginning of the Lenten season.
The clergy opened the service with prayer and scripture, speaking about renewal, faith, and the importance of reflection. Hymns were sung softly, with many residents joining in, their voices blending together in a comforting and familiar way. The presence of the altar, candles, and sacred vessels created a peaceful and sacred atmosphere right within our activity space.
One by one, residents were invited to receive ashes, a symbolic reminder of humility, repentance, and spiritual renewal.
