At Fort Tryon Center, we know that the heart of everything we do beats because of our incredible staff. Day in and day out, our team shows up with dedication, compassion, and a smile — and recently, we decided it was time to show them just how much they are appreciated.
As a special thank-you, the Rita’s Ice Custard truck pulled up right outside Fort Tryon Center, and the smiles that followed said it all. Staff members gathered outside, cups of gelati and frozen custard in hand, laughing and enjoying a well-deserved moment of sweetness together. The red-and-white striped awning of the Rita’s truck added a festive touch to what turned out to be a truly joyful afternoon.
These are the people who care for our residents every single day — nurses, aides, administrators, and support staff — each one playing a vital role in making Fort Tryon Center a place our residents are proud to call home. A scoop of Rita’s may seem like a small gesture, but the laughter and warmth shared outside that truck was a big reminder of the strong community we have built together.
