Flags on every wall, red white and blue lights spinning across the room, and a crowd that showed up ready to celebrate. Independence Day at Fort Tryon wasn’t quiet, it was loud, colorful, and full of energy from start to finish.
American flags went up along the curtains and bookshelves, with smaller flag balloons tucked into the corners. Once the lights kicked on, they swept slowly over the crowd, turning the common room into something closer to a dance floor for the afternoon. Some residents watched the lights move across the walls, others waved flags along to the music, and staff kept the energy up moving through the room with snacks and smiles.
It’s always a good time when the room fills up like that, everyone in the same space, celebrating together.
